However, this superior performance comes at a cost... literally speaking that is. At nearly three times the price of its budget-friendly rival from Diamond, only die-hard videophiles will likely be willing to part with such large sums for what ultimately amounts to incremental improvements over more affordable alternatives on offer elsewhere in the market today!

The Verdict

If your main priority is simply capturing decent quality video and audio from old VHS tapes onto modern media without breaking the bank (literally speaking!), then Diamond's VC500 remains an attractive option worth serious consideration.
